Be extra nice!

Sounds corny, or maybe even alarmist, but it feels to me like we are, at the very least, in the midst of a national nervous breakdown. Let’s help one another through it with extra kindness to everyone in our orbit – friends, family, colleagues. andn even people we don’t know. So hold that door for the stranger laden with groceries.

I once heard someone tell her young son that being a good person means being nice to people, even – or especially – when it’s hard. So maybe call that whiny friend just to check in, knowing that you might get stuck on a long phone call.

      I don’t remember that conversation but it sounds like something I’d say. Let’s take another walk and can you say “coup?” And “inn the works for years?” And I hope don’t want to bum you out but I’m feeling a real kinship with Germans before the war
