I love to talk. So you can imagine my delight when some organizations , including Parkinson’s support groups and retirement communities invited me to speak to their constituents about Parkinson’s in general, my own experiences with the condition, and the coping mechanisms I’ve discovered in the interest of pain abatement and slowing down disease progression. And yes, with a few life lessons and lots of wry humor thrown in.
Here’s what one listener at a support group had to say:
Andi came to speak at our Parkinson’s Support Group and she was a big hit. Her candid and personal style, as well as her quick wit, led to many laughs, and yet she did not shy away from addressing the many challenges of this disease. We enjoyed hearing the story of her journey with Parkinson’s and the circumstances that led her to become a blogger. She was entertaining and inspiring.

The Program Director at a retirement community was equally enthusiastic:
We recently had Andrea Brown visit us at New Pond Village in Walpole, MA. She gave a wonderful talk regarding her journey with her Parkinsons diagnosis. Andrea was authentic and relatable to our residents. Andi was optimistic. Opening it up to questions and feedback. Andrea was delightful, adding humor to a difficult situation. We would invite Andi back to New Pond Village.
I believe that your group would enjoy hearing my story. I am available to speak in person in the Boston area. And through the magic of Zoom (maybe the one good thing to emerge from the pandemic), I’m able to speak remotely pretty much anywhere in the world.

And here I am, live and (sort of) in person.
Many thanks for your consideration.
